The debt deal does not preserve the full faith and credit of the US Government because it breaks faith with the people by forsaking medicare, medicaid and social security. The credit of the government is no longer good with the people.
The entitlements hardwon by a century of political struggle are sacrificed to the needs of the banks and the lenders and a second fundamental tenet of our democracy is sacrificed. We the People can no longer print the money necessary to run our government.
The betrayal agreed to is generally accepted by the public media but it is not accepted by a majority of the people. Our government and the corporate run public square has passed from the people's control.
How will we get it back?
